PASIC supports families when a child is diagnosed with cancer. For these families, life is unthinkably tough. Their lives are shattered into a million pieces as they struggle to cope with the impact of their child’s illness.
PASIC offers much-needed respite and support to the whole family. From diagnosis, during treatment, after treatment and, if needed, through bereavement.
Our Family Support Workers give practical, emotional, social and financial support to around 500 families in the East Midlands. Families enjoy fun moments on PASIC trips and make friends at PASIC parties. We fund counselling to help children, parents and siblings cope with the trauma of cancer. Supermarket vouchers and financial grants help ease money worries when parents have to give up work. Our hospital activities and ‘comfort bags’ help make life on the ward easier.
With your help families will be in a better position to cope and face the future, whatever it may hold. Our service relies completely on voluntary donations.
