Francis House surrounds seriously ill children and their families with love and life…helping them live every moment to the full, embracing joy and happiness and be themselves in a warm and welcoming home from home.
Francis House is Greater Manchester’s children’s hospice. Local families come to us for respite from the stresses and strains of difficult times. To talk, to play, to laugh, to cry, to find the space, time and one to one support they need in their most challenging times.
Family is at the heart of everything we do. Because it’s not simply a seriously ill child who lives with a life-limiting condition, but their brothers and sisters, parents and carers too.
We aim to hear, respect and value every member of the family as individuals with their own needs. To enable seriously ill young people and those around them to live life as fully as their conditions allow, to live as they wish and to fulfil their dreams as far as we can.
The people we care for can come and go, spend time on their own or get together, chat and play, do fun things, pop out to the cinema or shops – feeling free to be themselves.
Supporting Francis House means we can fill more and more challenged lives with love, smiles and happiness.
