Fareham Nomads Swimming Club (FNSC) was formed in 1974 before there was a public swimming pool in Fareham. Due to the lack of a home pool the Club took its name because in the early days it led a ‘nomadic’ existence, using various pools throughout the area for training until 1980 when Fareham Leisure Centre was opened.
Since then, the Club has grown considerably and today has a membership of around 250 children and young adults,
Our Mission is:
-To ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn to swim.
-To ensure that every member can achieve their personal goal within the sport.
-To ensure that every member has the opportunity to compete.
The Club is accredited to SwimMark which means it has reached the tough standards laid down by the National Governing Body (Swim England) for swimming clubs. Currently the Club holds two levels of accreditation, teaching and skills development.
We are also a registered charity.
