By supporting our lottery you are bringing us one step closer to our goal of building a hospice facility for the people of Great Yarmouth and Waveney.
Margaret Chadd House will be the most important medical establishment to be built in the East Norfolk / East Suffolk area for many years. With such high cancer death and deprivation statistics in this area, there is most certainly a need for it. The vast majority (nearly 80 per cent) of people say they would like to be cared for at home or in a hospice; however in this area patients do not have this choice.
Margaret Chadd House will be an independent hospice, set in a 7.50 acre, landscaped plot near Gorleston, Great Yarmouth. It will provide a ten-bed, inpatient adult facility, with day care provision for both adults and younger people. It allows patients choice, dignity and support at the end of their lives as well as bereavement services for their families, providing a more gentle pathway of care when it is most needed.
Please help us to 'Raise the Roof' of East Coast Hospice and bring us one step closer towards our goal.
