"When I think back ... and consider if Ziska would be where she is now without David Lewis? I doubt that very much". Birgit, Ziska's Mum.
One of our strengths is the breadth of what we do here and our experience in supporting people with complex needs. Our offer spans all ages - we run a special educational needs college assessed by Ofsted as "Outstanding" and a specialist school. There are a range of 24 residential homes both onsite and in the local community, providing tailored accommodation and support for residents. Day activities such as art, cooking, drama, IT, music, pottery, sensory stories, animal care and management and sports are accessed by increasing numbers of people from Cheshire and South Manchester as day visitors. We also have a Forrest School environment and a new 23 Acre Wood where we have recently planted thousands of trees and hedgerows to provide both a stunning therapeutic space as well as contributing to our environmental sustainability goals. Our Land Based Services, onsite at Top Farm, and home to alpacas, emus and a pond/bird hide. This part of the site provides therapeutic, horticultural and conservation skills for all ages.
Our charity also benefits from a range of other services that can be accessed at the Warford site including a gym, hydrotherapy pool, swimming pool and shop and cafe that provide work experience and skills development opportunities!
Every day we support young people like Ziska to live life to the fullest, without your support we would not be able to do this.
