From a small group of athletes in 1997 Corby AC has grown steadily to a membership of 230 today. Members of all ages come from all over Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties and compete at all levels from county to International levels in a wide range of athletic disciplines.
Since the start, the club has been run as a voluntary, non-profit making organisation with everyone involved volunteering in their various roles. From the Chairman and committee members to the coaches, groundsman and people on the gate, everyone gives their time for free. The Corby AC volunteers are a key part of the history of the club and vital to its’ future.
Corby AC was the first athletic club in Northamptonshire to be awarded Clubmark status by Sport England. The award shows that the club has met all the criteria for competition, child protection, sporting fairness and equality, health and safety and the management of the club. Clubmark is formal recognition of the club’s aim to create a high quality, welcoming and safe environment for able-bodied and disabled athletes of all ages and all ability levels.
This lottery scheme has been introduced to finance projects which will benefit club members, and the local community as a whole are represented proudly by members whenever they compete. Please support YOUR club and community by taking part. Thank you!!!
