24x7 Special Needs Holiday Trust

Thank you for your kind support and giving people with special needs the chance to have a holiday of a lifetime.

What we do

We offer holidays to people with special needs and their family's or carer (in many cases their first ever holiday) in a dedicated centre in the Algarve with special equipment such as bedrooms with hoists and adjoining hygiene rooms, education center, sensory room and sensory gardens, petting zoo, and a swimming pool with hoist. This is the only dedicated holiday center of its type in Europe.

At Carlisle Mencap we respect and value people's differences while striving for a society where they can realise their full potential. The organisation is committed to empowering those with learning disabilities to grow and stretch beyond the limits often placed upon them by society. We provide life-long person centred support for people with learning disabilities and support over 400 users.

We provide residential respite for children and adults, supported living, young people's clubs, playschemes, community outreach, leisure, befriending and holidays. At the heart of what we do, is the belief that people with learning disabilities have a right to achieve the best that they can and live empowered/ fulfilled lives. Our services are person centred and designed to empower and enhance the day to day experience of our clients and the wider community. We understand the emotional needs of people with learning disability and their need to feel valued and have self-esteem – we work towards fulfilling these needs. We're particularly keen for people with disabilities to have the same experiences as their non-disabled peers and specialise in getting people involved in sport, arts and in their local communities and encouraging people in the community to interact with our service users.

Crossroads Care Kent

Crossroads Care Kent

We know that Carers hold families together and enable loved ones to get the most out of life. Unpaid Carers make an enormous contribution to society and our charity is proud to be able to support them through a wide range of practical services such as free, regular short breaks and 24/7 support during times of crisis. We help and support Carers of all ages, some as young as 5 years old, to enable them to continue in their caring role.

Our Young Carers are encouraged to access our holiday activities and groups, as well as attending regular club nights to make sure they have the time and opportunity to enjoy their childhood and to be with other Young Carers, who understand what it is like to be a Carer. We also offer 1-1 support and work with schools to help our Young Carers reach their full potential alongside their caring responsibilities.

By supporting our Lottery, your gift will help us help Carers, and keep families together. 3 out of every 5 people will become a Carer at some point so thank you for thinking of us and supporting Crossroads Care Kent to continue our vital work caring for Carers and the people they care for.

Crossroads Care Surrey

Crossroads Care Surrey is a leading charity; we specialise in delivering care replacement breaks to unpaid carers across Surrey, who care for or support a person in their own home.

Our care staff build lasting relationships with our clients – adults, and children – and take over the care responsibilities to ensure the unpaid carer gets some all-important downtime. We also provide end-of-life care, taking over the care responsibilities and keeping our clients safe, giving the unpaid carer a break. This might be an opportunity to catch up on some sleep, watch a favourite TV show or simply enjoy a coffee and catch up with a friend or family member. We support as little or as often as required.

We’ve been caring in Surrey for over 40 years and, with your help, can continue to provide care and support in the local community for those who need it most. By joining the Crossroads Care Surrey Lottery you will be actively supporting families in Surrey – you can play as many times as you like and be in with the chance of winning the jackpot!

To join in all you have to do is sign up. Good luck!

Family Holiday Charity

Family Holiday Charity helps families get time away together, often for the first time ever. We're here for children who have never seen the sea. For teenagers who can't remember when they last saw mum smile. For parents having to choose between a day out and a pair of school shoes. For young carers, grandparent carers. For families facing illness, isolation, or bereavment.

Holidays open up new possibilities. There's time enough to share a laugh, watch the tide come in, and make happier memories.

When frontline care proffessionals make a referal, we help each family choose the UK holiday they need. It could be a caravan on the coast, a woodland adventure, or a day out at a theme park.

Whatever the weather, if it means time spent together, even a day's holiday helps build relationships, confidence, a stronger sense of community, and hope for the future.

More than 2.2m families in the UK can't get away on holiday. By playing our lottery, you're creating the time and space for mums, dads, carers and children to make lasting memories that make a lifetime of difference for families facing really tough times.

Happy Days

We provide family holidays, group holidays and day trips for children aged 3-17 across the UK. The holidays and trips are great morale boosters. The children come home with a more positive attitude which invariably sparks off an immediate improvement in their physical and mental well being and provides the children with the wonderful gifts of happiness and hope.

At happy days we believe that every child has the right to experience what life has to offer. Most of us are able to find the time we need to have a family holiday or enjoy a day out, to help us to re-group, bond, sort out problems, and, of course have some fun!

However families and groups caring for children with special needs face many barriers. Transport and venue facilities are often poorly designed to accommodate children with special needs, and the fact that many venue staff are untrained in the relevant issues can turn a seemingly unambitious trip into a truly demoralising event.

Happy Days Children's Charity is here to help families and groups overcome barriers to taking time out. Since 1992 we have been assisting families and groups by providing support and advise as well as organising day trips and holidays to enable families and groups to enjoy themselves together, rather than having to worry about how they are going to get to their destination and the support they receive when they arrive.

Our children benefit from a range of activities, from day trips to seaside and theatre, family holidays and group activity holidays.

Jubilee Sailing Trust

We are the Jubilee Sailing Trust, a charity that changes lives through adventure and exploration onboard our tall ship, Tenacious. Tenacious is the only sea-going tall ship in the world designed, built and sailed by a mixed-ability crew.

Our voyages are for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, giving everyone the opportunity to explore their potential through inclusive adventures at sea.

Because we’re a charity we rely on the support of others. It’s critical we can continue our work. Our voyages build confidence and resilience in those who sail with us. They bring people together in diverse teams where differences disappear. Voyage Crew tell us their perceptions change and they are able to achieve things they previously did not think possible.

These experiences change lives, and we’d love you to join us. By joining the JST Community Lottery you will have the chance to win £25,000 every week. Plus you’ll be helping to fund our life changing voyages.
Support us now. Join the adventure.

Team Reece

Team Reece is the dream of one little boy with a cancerous brain tumour who wants to provide a holiday home, respite breaks and fund research into better treatment options for childhood cancers.

Families are left fractured and devastated when a child is diagnosed and research is woefully underfunded in childhood cancers. Reece wants to change that but we need your help!

The Respite Association

The Respite Association was born on May 16th 2001. A group of people, all with first-hand experience of the stress put on carers, had come to realise that there was very little support available for those caring for loved ones. That small but committed group of people decided that the best way forward was to create an organisation whose sole aim was to care for the carers by providing respite. When you are caring for someone the task can be overwhelming. You can be on ‘duty’ for 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with no breaks or holidays. This is too much to ask of anyone.

So what do we actually do?
We are a small Charity that makes a big impact. We provide short term assistance by funding appropriately qualified respite care for people with disabilities, long term physical or mental health conditions, and those who are terminally ill in order that their regular unpaid carer can be allowed to take a much needed break. Breaks can take the form of anything from enabling attendance at an evening class to a weekend break or longer. We also provide free week long seaside holidays to enable carers to recharge their batteries. In 2021, we purchased our first bricks and mortar respite facility – a purpose built holiday bungalow in Cornwall. We also have a caravan in North Wales.

Who will we help?
Many of the people who are at home caring for loved ones are forced to live on very limited incomes. It is these people that we are working to help.

What does it cost?
Whilst providing suitably qualified carers in the home or funding a temporary place in a residential care centre can be expensive, the benefits to the carer are beyond measure. The cost and level of support varies dramatically from a few pounds to several hundred with an average level of around £500.

How you can help?
By playing the Unity Lottery you can help us to continue to support carers when they need us the most. It does not cost much to make a massive difference to the lives of carers and, who knows, you might even win a prize too!
